SOOMER CHANNER WELFARE ASSOCIATION (S C H W A), ISLAMABAD--A NON POLITICAL WELFARE ASSOCIATION.

Background:- 

It is the great honour and tribute to His Excellency Mr. Manzoor Ahmed Channer (Late) the great, ambitious man of Channer nation, very keen, most mannered and helpful person for needy and people of different walks of life who brought and laid down its foundation of (SCHWA) in 1979 therefore, it came into being under his kind supervision in 1979 with a little number of members.

Introduction:-

Soomer Channer Welfare Association (SCHWA) is purely non-political Welfare Association and with passage of time it came into existence on the 7th July, 2008 at, Islamabad having about 250 members (estimated) out 600-700 total population of the community living in Islamabad the Federal Capital.

COMPSOITION OF THE ASSOCIATION:-

The Association is comprising of six elected body members appointed for a term of one year through general elections for the following positions:-

1- President Mr.Mumtaz Ali Channer
2- Vice President Mr.Rafique Ahmed Channer
3- General Secretary Mr.Abdul Wahab Bhatti
4- Joint Secretary Mr. Nazeer Ahmed Channer
5- Finance Secretary Mr. Bakshal Channer
6- Information Secretary Mr.Asif Ali Channer

Aims and objectives:-

Following are the main Aims and Objectives of the Association:-

1) To make the community motivated, active and United.

2) Financial Assistance of Rs.1000 would be provided in case of any accident or otherwise and hospitalized at least for 3 days.

3) Association will facilitate the member in case of death of his wife/ her husband, Daughter, Son, Father, Mother will offer Rs.1500/- for funeral in Islamabad.(This facility is for those members who are paying Rs.100.00 per month).

4) Registration of votes in Islamabad.
5-A) To assist members to obtain National Identity Card in Islamabad.

5) Arrangement for vehicle for village on the occasions of Eid.

6) Association provide Finance Facility through (Qarz-e-Hasana). (This facility is only for those members having all dues clear.

7) To provide information/assistance and mobilizing to Jobless members seeking govt. and private jobs.7-A) Mobilizing jobless member for technical trainings.

8) The Association will provide possible assistance to solve all problems of the village concerned at Islamabad level.

Laws and Principles:-


Ø The only person who is directly or indirectly associated with the village Soomer Channer and is resident of Islamabad/Rawalpindi or its adjoin areas can be its member.

Ø Minimum age of membership of Association is 18 years.

Ø Registration is compulsory on the Membership fee Rs.50/-.

Ø Every Association Member is responsible to pay fund of Rs.100/- per month.

Ø Jobless member is exempted from the monthly Fund.

Ø The President would be the head of the Welfare Association. He will have the authority of each decision but will be unable to announce with consultation/approval of the its body.

Ø The Vice President would be next authority in the absence of the President. He will make efforts to motivate and impress upon the members those not attending the General Meetings OR not paying Funds.

ØThe General Secretary is responsible for proceed the Welfare Association affairs in good manner and maintain the decorum of the body and organize the Association and keep official record in safe custody.

ØTo motivate members about association’s benefits and increase the Membership and their registration as per rules of Welfare Association.

Ø To facilitate the grievances of members received through applications/complaints to concerned Member in written.

ØVigilant on the overall performance of the Welfare Association.

Ø The Joint Secretary would take responsibility in the absence of the General Secretary. He will also look after the job assigned to him by the Welfare Association, and avoid misappropriation and keep informed any situation to the President or General Secretary.

Ø The Finance Secretary, will be responsible to deal with all the financial matters of the association.

ØHe is responsible to maintain fund register and also purchasing and updation of record.

ØHe is bound to seek approval of the Body before placing purchase of any article/item.

Ø The Information Secretary, he is responsible to keep updated the members any of the progress and future plans.

Ø Vigilant on issues of members and keep well informed to Body with well versed comments/ suggestions /solutions.

Ø All elected Members of Body are bound to remain in touch with other members time to time.

Ø The Association will afford the expenses on death situation in Islamabad and Rawalpindi only.

Ø Any elected body or member would be bound to discuss any problem/matter only in General Meeting.

Ø The Association will take action against elected body member in case of disclosing any issue/matter relating to the affairs of Association out side the general meeting.

Ø Political Discussion is not allowed.

Ø To impress upon the members to attend the general meeting.

Ø Decorum and Discipline must be ensured during the Meeting.

Ø Every member will be asked to offer his views/comments.

Ø All members must ensure respect while speaking about members name.

Ø disclosing of any information to any of elected member in general meeting is highly prohibited.

ØAny elected body member or member of association may offer suggestion for betterment or to complaint against if any may submit written application to the President.

Ø No confidence can be moved in case of objection on any elected members a motion be filed having two third majority.

Ø If any of elected body member wishes to resign, he has to present his resignation before the President with reason thereof.

Ø If President wishes to resign he has to present his resignation before the Vice President with reasons also.

Ø All elected body members will perform their duties for one year, after successful completion of prescribed period, new election be held for another term of one year.

Ø During election Un-Opposed candidate is not allowed to work for any other member.

Ø Jobless member is not eligible to take part for any post in the Association
